3. Remove pump support seal ring.
4. Remove the screws from the oil pump with Torx (R) 40 wrench.
CAUTION: Discard the screws. They are not reusable for assembly.
5. Remove the oil pump and separator plate.
Pump Gears
NOTE:

The pump gears are part of the oil pump and are not serviced separately.

Rough casting on the pump surface crescent is not a flaw.
Front Oil Pump Seal (2)
1. Carefully unstake the front oil pump seal using a small chisel.
2. Remove the oil pump seal using a puller. Discard the seal.
INSPECTION
Inspect all parts and repair or replace as necessary.
ASSEMBLY
Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly, referring to the following notes:
