Warning Lamps and Chimes
Operation (GEM/CTM)
When the ignition switch is turned to the RUN position and a door is opened, the door ajar switch opens. The GEM/CTM senses an open door circuit
and illuminates the door ajar warning lamp and activates the door ajar chime. Also, interior lamp comes on.
When vehicle speed reaches 48 km/h (30 mph), the interior lamp automatically turns off. However, the door ajar warning lamp and chime are still
active.
When the ignition switch is turned to the RUN position and a seat belt is not connected to the anchor, the seat belt switch opens. The GEM/CTM
senses an open seat belt circuit and illuminates the seat belt lamp and activates the seat belt chime.
