Hose/Line HVAC: Service and Repair
1. Discharge the refrigerant from the system.
2. Remove pipe or hose using a wrench on each side of the tilling or the proper spring lock coupling disconnect tool.
NOTE
-
Immediately plug the open fittings to keep moisture out of the system.

Apply clean compressor oil to the new O-rings before connecting the fittings.

For 1997, new "fatter" O-rings are being used on all B-Series vehicles. The old O-rings and new O-rings are interchangeable.

Do not apply compressor oil to fitting nuts.
3. Install pipe or hose. Tighten to specifications.
4. Evacuate, charge and test the refrigeration system.
