Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Testing and Inspection
INSPECTION
CAUTION: Do not drop or subject the sensor to sharp shock. Do not put or allow anything in the sensor.
1. Disconnect the mass air flow sensor connector.
2. Remove the mass air flow sensor.
3. Check for damage of the sensor.
4. Reconnect the mass air flow sensor.
5. Connect the NGS to the data link connector.
6. Turn the ignition switch 0N or run the engine. Select the PID/DATA monitor and Record function on the NGS.
7. If not as specified, replace the mass air flow sensor.
Tightening torque: 10 Nm (89 in.lbs.)
