Throttle Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair
Remove in the order shown in the figure. Inspect all parts and repair or replace as necessary.
1. Shield
2. Accelerator cable
Install in the reverse order of removal.

Verify that the throttle valve is fully closed.

Inspect the cable for restrictions.

Depress the accelerator pedal fully and verify that the throttle valve is at wide open throttle.

If not as specified, replace the accelerator cable.
NOTE: The accelerator cable is not adjustable.
