Tightening torque: 40.3 - 54.7 Nm (29.4 - 39.9 ft. lbs.).
Pitman Arm (1)
1. Align the two blocked teeth on the pitman arm with the four missing teeth on the sector shaft.
2. Place the pitman arm on the sector shaft.
Tightening torque: 230 - 310 Nm (170 - 229 ft. lbs.).
Disassembly and Assembly
DISASSEMBLY
1. Rotate the worm-shaft from stop to stop, counting the total number of turns. Then turn back exactly halfway.
2. Disassemble in the order shown, referring to the following:
CAUTION: In order to prevent the entrance of dirt, all disassembly should be done in a clean area.
