Valve Cover: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION 

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Disconnect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor.

3. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube; refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Tube Removal/Installation.

4. Remove the accelerator control splash shield.

5. Remove the accelerator cable; refer to Accelerator Cable Removal/Installation.
6. Disconnect the crankcase vent from the valve cover.

7. Disconnect the fuel charging wiring from the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve and the Throttle Position (TP) sensor.
