DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may exhibit a popping, clunking, and/or clicking noise from the front end of the vehicle. The noise will happen between 3-8 mph (5-13
km/h) on a paved surface while turning the steering wheel +/- 90 degrees from the straight ahead position. This noise may be coming from the inner
tie-rod ends.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Verify customer concern.
NOTE:
If the source of the noise is not from the inner tie-rod ends, refer to MS3 online instructions or Workshop Manual section 02-01
SUSPENSION NVH DIAGNOSIS.
2.
Replace both inner tie-rod ends. Refer to MS3 online instructions or Workshop Manual section 06-12 INNER TIE ROD.
3.
Verify repair.
