DESCRIPTION
Rear Anti-Lock Brake System (RABS) light comes on and stays on. This is caused when the hydraulic unit internal resistor burns out. The hydraulic unit
has been revised to prevent this concern.
NOTE:
The rear brakes of the vehicle still function regardless of the burned out resistor.
If a customer complains of the light illuminating, install a revised hydraulic unit.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Verify the concern.
2.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the hydraulic unit
3.
Check for continuity between pins on the hydraulic unit with a digital volt/ohm meter (DVOM).
4.
If there is no continuity between the pins, replace the hydraulic unit. If continuity exists, refer to the workshop manual and wiring diagram for
trouble shooting and repair information.
