Intake Air Plenum: Service and Repair

UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD / THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

1. Remove the accelerator cable shield.
2. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the Upper Intake Manifold / Throttle Body assembly.
3. Disconnect the accelerator and cruise control cables.

Alternator Support Bracket Removal

4. Remove the alternator support bracket.
5. Disconnect the Throttle Position Sensor and Air Intake Temperature Sensor connectors.

6. Remove the Upper Intake Manifold / Throttle Body assembly and discard the gasket.

INSTALLATION

1. Clean and apply a small amount of clean engine oil to all bolts and stud threads before installing them.
2. Install a new gasket.
3. Install the Upper Intake Manifold / Throttle Body assembly.
