RATCHETING NOISE FROM AUTOMATIC LOCKING HUBS

DESCRIPTION

A ratcheting noise may be heard when engaging the automatic locking hubs. A revised hub assembly kit with a new gear shape is available to correct this
concern.

Follow the repair procedures below for customers that complain of this noise.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.

Verify that the 4 x 4 hub(s) is making the ratcheting noise. If the noise is coming from the hubs, proceed to step two. 

2.

Replace both hubs with the countermeasure hubs kit.

NOTE:

When replacing the automatic locking hub assembly, all existing automatic locking hub components must be replaced. The assembly kit includes the
seven (7) parts.
