This bulletin replaces Cat F, 019/96
DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may have the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) illuminate and possibly a no start condition. This concern may also have the following
DTC's stored in memory; P0443, P1443, P1444, P1445.
This concern may be caused by:
^
damaged canister purge solenoid / sensor harness
^
damaged fuel vapor return hoses
^
damaged purge flow sensor connector terminals
^
and/or blown fuel fuse
^
charcoal particles in the canister purge assembly
Customers complaining of this concern should have the vehicle diagnosed and if necessary, repaired according to the procedure listed in the table below.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1.
Verify the concern.
^
Retrieve and record all DTC's.
2.
Use the table shown to select the correct repair procedure (A, B or C).
3.
Clear DTC's and verity that the concern is resolved.
