Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service and Repair
Airbag Arming
1. Disconnect positive battery cable, then allow one minute for air bag system back-up power to deplete.
2. Disconnect Rotunda Air Bag Simulator tool No. 49-UN01-131, or equivalent, from vehicle harness at top of steering column.
3. Connect driver's side air bag electrical connector to harness connector and position module in steering wheel, then install screws and tighten to
specifications.
4. Install plugs in back side of steering wheel; then, with no one inside vehicle, connect positive battery cable.
5. Ensure system warning lamps indicate proper system functioning.
