Valve Cover Installation Note

1. Clean all the mating surfaces.

Note:

Do not clean the valve cover gasket with solvent. Damage to the valve cover gasket may occur.

2. Apply a bead of silicone in two places where the cylinder head and cylinder block meet.

3. Install the valve cover gasket, if removed.
4. Install the RH valve cover.

1. Position the valve cover. 

2. Tighten the two bolts and the six stud bolts in the sequence shown.

5. Install the LH valve cover.
