Dimmer Switch: Testing and Inspection
1. Verify the customer concern by operating the main light switch. To duplicate the condition, place the main light switch in the PARK position and
rotate the dimmer switch fully up without tuning on the courtesy lamps.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.
3. If the fault is not visually evident, verify the symptom and see INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND PANEL LIGHTING DIAGNOSIS.
