Make a U-shaped relief cut in the insulator (black plastic floor covering) below the accelerator pedal bracket, 140 mm wide and 100 mm long +/-
20 mm (5.5" wide by 4" long +/- 0.75").

NOTE:

Make sure to line up the center of the "U" cut with the accelerator pedal bracket. This will help to relieve any tautness in the insulator, so it
will sit flush with the floor panel.

Do not cut the velcro patch as it is needed for adhesion of the carpet.

Reposition the carpet.

6.

Verify repair by using WDS or NGS to verify that WOT mode can be reached without excessive force on the accelerator pedal.
