Evaporator Core: Service and Repair
Evaporator Core
CAUTION: To prevent system contamination, whenever the evaporator core Is replaced, also replace the receiver/drier.
NOTE: If an evaporator core leak is suspected, the evaporator core must be leak tested before it is removed from the vehicle.
1. Remove the receiver/drier.
2. Remove the screws and reposition the vacuum reservoir tank and bracket.
3. Disconnect the connector from the cruise control servo.
4. Remove the bolt and reposition the cruise control servo.
5. Disconnect the condenser to evaporator line from the evaporator core; refer to the Spring Lock Couplings Disconnect and Connect general
procedure in SPRING LOCK COUPLING.
