Heater Core: Service and Repair

NOTE:  If a heater core leak is suspected, the heater core must be leak tested before it is removed from the vehicle.

1. Remove the instrument panel; refer to INTERIOR TRIM.
2. Remove the evaporator core housing.
3. Drain the radiator.
4. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core.

5. Remove the plenum chamber.

6. Remove the screws and remove the heater core cover.

7. Remove the heater core.

NOTE:  Be sure to replace the oval team seal around the heater core inlet and outlet tubes.

8. Install in reverse order of removal.
