Radiator Hose: Service and Repair

COOLANT BYPASS TUBE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Note:  The bypass tube and the lower radiator hose are a molded one-piece assembly.

1. Drain the engine coolant from the radiator. 

2. Remove the coolant bypass hose from the water pump.
3. Remove the lower radiator hose.
4. Install in reverse order of removal.

Steps After Procedure

1. Fill radiator with specified amount and type of engine coolant.
2. Start engine and check for engine leaks.
3. Bleed the cooling system.
