Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
Right Hand Exhaust Manifold

RIGHT HAND EXHAUST MANIFOLD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 
2. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. See LIFTING. 

3. Remove the nuts. 
4. Lower the vehicle. 

5. Remove the bolts and the stud bolts. 
6. Remove the exhaust manifold and the exhaust manifold gasket. 
7. Position the exhaust manifold gasket and the exhaust manifold. 

8. Install the bolts and the nuts. Tighten the sequence shown in two steps: 

Tightening Torque 
10 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 88 in.lbf)

Tightening Torque 
20 - 25 N.m (1.5 - 1.8 kgf.m, 15 - 18 ft.lbf)

9. Install in reverse order of removal.
