Remove tension on the J-hook and remove the servo cover compressor.

Clean fluid from the servo cover area.
17.
Apply petroleum jelly to the lock nut seal and install a new lock nut, but do not tighten.
18.
Using Special Tool 307-S022:

Tighten the band adjusting screw to 14 Nm (10 lb-ft).

Back off the adjusting screw exactly two (2) turns.
NOTE:
If replacing both servo covers, order 2 new lock nuts.
19.
Hold the band adjusting screw stationary and tighten the band lock nut to 47-61 Nm (3544 lb-ft).
20.
Install the Control Valve Body Assembly according to Workshop Manual (section 05-13 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION).
21.
Refill the transmission with the correct type and quantity of fluid.
22.
Reinstall the catalytic converter.
23.
Verify repair.
