Limited Slip Differential Axle Shaft Seal
REAR WHEEL BEARING AND OIL SEAL (LIMITED SLIP) REMOVAL / INSTALLATION
Removal Note
1. Remove the axle shaft.
Note: If the wheel bearing oil seal is leaking, the axle housing vent may be plugged with debris.
2. Use Impact Slide Hammer ST 49-0223-630B, Rear Axle Bearing Remover ST 49-UN01-033 and Adapter ST49-UN11-101 to remove the rear
axle bearing and wheel bearing oil seal.
Installation Note
1. Lubricate the new rear wheel bearing with lubricant.
2. Use Driver Handle ST 49-FO27-003 and Axle Tube Bearing Replacer ST 49-UN01-033 to install the rear wheel bearing.
3. Lubricate the lip of the new wheel bearing oil seal with appropriate grease.
4. Use Driver Handle ST 49-FO27-003 and Axle Tube Bearing Replacer ST 49-UN01 -033 to install the inner wheel bearing oil seal.
5. Install the axle shaft.
