Description
Mazda does not recommend the use of reconditioned anti-freeze. Mazda recommends ethylene glycol base coolants for all Mazda aluminum engines.
Although reconditioned anti-freeze is available, this product may contain silicon particles which may be abrasive to the water pump seal. Additionally,
reconditioned anti-freeze may contain chemicals (alcohol or methanol) that erode metal parts.
Service Managers should inform customers that Mazda does not recommend reconditioned antifreeze and that problems (mechanical and otherwise)
related to the use of reconditioned anti-freeze are not warrantable.
CAUTION:
Anti-freeze is considered a hazardous and toxic substance. Handling and disposing must be done in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
