Oil Pressure Sender: Testing and Inspection
INSPECTION
1. Remove the oil pressure sensor.
2. Screw the Special Service Tool (SST) into the oil pressure sensor installation hole.
3. Run the engine at 2500 rpm and note the engine readings.
4. If pressure is not within specification (40 - 60 psi, 276 - 413 kPa), refer to Troubleshooting for further diagnosis.
5. Apply sealant to oil pressure sensor threads.
6. Remove SST and install sensor.
Tightening torque: 16 - 22 Nm (12 - 16 ft. lbs.).
