DESCRIPTION

The Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may illuminate with Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P0102 and/or P0103. There may be driveability concerns
such as hesitation and/or surge during acceleration under normal driving conditions. This may be caused by an out-of-specification Mass Air Flow
(MAF) sensor.

Customers complaining of this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.

Verify vehicle exhibits at least one of the following symptoms:

^

MIL ON

^

Engine Surge

^

Engine hesitation

2.

Check for DTCs.

If DTCs P0102 and/or P0103 are found, proceed to next step.

If not, refer to appropriate Workshop Manual diagnostic procedures (see engine section).

3.

Replace MAF with modified pant.

4.

Verify fix with NGS tester. If MAF codes are cleared and other codes are shown, perform normal diagnostic procedures to verify other driveability
concerns.
