Windshield: Service and Repair

1. Remove the windshield wiper arms.
2. Remove both A-pillar trim panels.

3. Remove the sun visors and disconnect connectors, if necessary.
4. Remove the inside rear view mirror.

5. Remove molding (1) and windshield (2).
6. Install in reverse order of removal.

Windshield Removal Note

NOTE:  Lubricate the urethane seal with water to aid knife kit when cutting the urethane seal.

Use knife to cut the urethane from the windshield.

1. Insert the blade into the urethane at the middle of the top of the windshield and work to the bottom corners.
2. Trim the excess urethane from the outside edge of the windshield.

NOTE:  Removing the windshield requires more than one technician.

3. Carefully remove the windshield.

4. Trim the remaining urethane on the pinch weld. The existing urethane surface should be smooth and free from cuts and contamination.
