2. Install the overdrive/drive band servo assembly into the transmission case.

Lubricate the overdrive/front band servo cover O-ring with petroleum jelly.
3. Use SST to install the overdrive/front band servo cover retaining ring.

Install SST and compress the overdrive/front band servo cover.

Install the overdrive/front servo cover retaining ring.
4. Install the digital transmission range (TR) sensor.
5. Install the shift cable.

Install the shift cable.

Install the shift cable to the manual control lever.
6. Install the control valve body.
7. Adjust the overdrive/front band.
8. Position the transmission modulator heat shield on the transmission and install the nut (5R44E/5R55E only).
9. Install the catalytic converter.
10. Lower the vehicle.

When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms can occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive
strategy. The customer needs to be notified that they may experience slightly different upshifts either soft or firm and this is a temporary
condition and will eventually return to normal operating condition.
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
