Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service and Repair
Airbag Disarming

1. Disconnect positive battery cable, then allow one minute for air bag system back-up power to deplete.
2. Remove plugs from back side of steering wheel, then remove the two screws and washer assemblies.
3. Pull driver's side air bag module away from steering wheel and disconnect electrical connector, then remove module from vehicle.  Place module

on bench with trim cover facing upward.

4. Connect Rotunda Air Bag Simulator tool No. 49-UN01-131, or equivalent, to vehicle harness at top of steering column.
5. Reconnect positive battery cable.
