4 Wheel Drive

Manual Locking Hubs

1. Raise and support front end.
2. Remove tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove caliper assembly. Leave hose attached and suspend out of way.
4. Remove retainer and hub assembly, Fig. 3.

5. Remove snap ring and spacer.
6. Remove outer locknut and washer using special tool No. 49 UN01 042, or equivalent, then the inner locknut.
7. Remove brake disc plate.
8. Reverse procedure to install.

Automatic Locking Hubs

1. Raise and support front end.
2. Remove tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove caliper assembly. Leave hose attached and suspend out of way.
4. Remove retainer and hub assembly, Fig. 4.
