REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Disconnect the positive battery cable and wait one (1) minute to discharge the air bag back-up power supply before performing this repair.

1.

Center front wheel to the straight ahead position. Tilt steering wheel in upward position (if applicable).

2.

Remove air bag module according to procedure in Section S of the body electric troubleshooting manual.

WARNING:

OBSERVE ALL PRECAUTIONS LISTED IN THE WORKSHOP MANUAL OR BETM WHEN WORKING ON THE AIR BAG SYSTEM.

3.

Remove steering wheel and column from vehicle. Refer to section M of the Workshop Manual for Removal Procedure.
