Wheel Bearing: Service and Repair
2 Wheel Drive

1. Raise and support front end.
2. Remove tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove caliper assembly. Leave hose attached and suspend out of way.
4. Remove hub cap and excess grease, then discard cotter pin.
5. Remove retainer and adjusting nut.
6. Remove brake disc and carefully remove bearing.
7. Remove dust shield.
8. Remove and discard cotter pin from tie rod end, then remove nut, Fig. 1.

9. Separate tie rod end from knuckle using tie rod end remover tool No. 3290-D, or equivalent.

10. Remove and discard cotter pin from knuckle.
11. Remove nut and bolt.
12. Mark position of camber/caster adjuster.
13. Remove adjuster using adjuster removal tool No. D81T-3010-B, or equivalent.
14. Strike lower arm to remove as shown in Fig. 2.
