Cruise Actuator: Service and Repair
Cruise Control Servo
1. Remove screw.
2. Disconnect connector.
NOTE
^
Depress accelerator pedal and shaft, then push locking arm on cruise control actuator cap and rotate cap counterclockwise. Remove cable ball
slug from servo rotor.
NOTE
^
Remove cruise control actuator cable slug from cruise control servo pulley. Gently push actuator cable slug past retaining spring using a small
screwdriver.
3. Remove bracket from servo.
4. Install bracket to servo. Tighten three screws to 10 - 13 N.m (10 - 13 kgf.m, 7 - 10 lb-ft).
5. Connect electrical connector.
NOTE

Make sure rubber seal is fully seated on actuator cable cap. Depress accelerator pedal and shaft if accelerator cable is attached to throttle and
lock cable ball in slot located in servo pulley. Release accelerator cable or pull accelerator cable at throttle end. Insert cap locking tabs into
servo slot. Rotate cap clockwise until locking arm engages locking tab on servo.
6. Install servo. Tighten mounting bolt to 9 - 12 N.m (9 - 12 kgf.m, 7 - 9 lb-ft).
7. Adjust cable.
