Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove the engine assembly.
2. Remove the timing chain cover.
3. Remove the front oil seal by using a screwdriver protected with a rag.

INSTALLATION 

1. Coat the new front oil seal with clean engine oil. 

2. Install the new front oil seal using SST# 49 UN01 004. 
3. Install the crankshaft pulley using SST# 49 UN01 002 Crankshaft Damper Replacer.
4. Tighten the bolt to 40-50 Nm (30-37 ft-lbs) + 80-90°
5. Start the vehicle and check for oil leaks.
