14. Install the oil pan gasket.
15. Install the oil pan. Tighten to 13 - 15 Nm (115 - 132 inch lbs.).
16. Install transmission heat shield. Tighten mounting bolts to 8 - 11 Nm (71 - 97 inch lbs.).
17. Connect the negative battery cable.
18. Fill with ATF.
19. Drive the vehicle and check the shift points, shift schedule and shift shock.
Off-Vehicle
CAUTION: Be especially careful when handling the control valve body because it consists of the precise and delicate parts of the transmission.
REMOVAL
1. Remove in the order shown in the illustration.
2. Inspect all parts and repair or replace as necessary.
CAUTION:

Before assembly, make sure all parts are perfectly clean.

Apply ATF to all the parts.
