Wheel Bearing: Testing and Inspection
Front
1. Jack up the front of the vehicle, and support it with safety stands. Inspect for noticeable bearing play with the hands held at the top and bottom of the
tire. Wheel bearing play should be within 0.00 - 0.08 mm (0.000 - 0.003 inch).
2. Inspect the wheel for smooth rotation. Note any rough feeling or abnormal noise from the bearing.
3. Replace the wheel bearing or adjust the wheel bearing preload if necessary.
