Flex Plate: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove the transmission. See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Procedures
2. Remove in the order shown in the figure.
3. Inspect all parts and repair or replace as necessary.
INSTALLATION
1. Install in the reverse order of removal, referring to the following steps.
2. Remove any old locking compound from the bolt threads and bolt holes, and apply new locking compound to the bolt threads.
3. Tighten the drive plate mounting bolts in two or three steps in the order shown. Tighten to 81 Nm (60 ft. lbs.).
