Electronic Shift Motor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL  

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise the vehicle and support it with safety stands.
3. Remove in the order shown, referring to the following note:

Motor Connector (1)  

NOTE:  Use a bent paperclip to disconnect the motor connector.

Remove the brown wire from the motor connector.

INSTALLATION 

Install in the reverse order of removal, referring to the following notes:

Tighten the mounting bracket screws to 8 - 10 Nm (72 - 96 inch lbs.).

Tighten the electronic shift motor assembly screw to 8 - 10 Nm (72 - 96 inch lbs.).

-

Tighten the motor bracket bolt to 8 - 10 Nm (72 - 96 inch lbs.).
