Thermostat: Service and Repair
THERMOSTAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the upper radiator hose from the thermostat cover.
3. Remove the bolts and thermostat cover.
4. Remove the thermostat and the O-ring from the thermostat cover.
5. Install in reverse order of removal.
Tightening torque: 9 - 12 Nm (92 - 122 kgf.cm, 80 - 106 inch lbs.)
Steps After Procedure
1. Fill radiator with specified amount and type of engine coolant.
2. Start engine and check for engine leaks.
3. Bleed the cooling system.
