Windshield: Service and Repair

1. Remove the windshield wiper pivot arms. 
2. Remove both A-pillar trim assist handles, if equipped.

3. Remove both A-pillar trim panels

4. Remove the screws (1), sun visors (2) and disconnect connectors, it necessary.
5. Remove the inside rear view mirror.
6. Remove molding (1) and windshield (2). Refer to Windshield Removal Note.

7. Install in reverse order of removal.

NOTE:  Lubricate the urethane seal with water to assist cutting the urethane seal.

Use knife to cut the urethane from the windshield. 

1. Insert the knife blade into the urethane at the middle of the top of the windshield and work to the bottom corners.
2. Trim the excess urethane from the outside edge of the windshield.

NOTE:

Removing the windshield requires more than one technician.

3. Carefully remove the windshield.

4. Trim the remaining urethane on the pinch weld. The existing urethane surface should be smooth and free from cuts and contamination.
