Brake Rotor/Disc: Testing and Inspection
Runout Check
CAUTION: There must be no wheel bearing looseness.
1. Clamp a dial indicator to the spindle so the stylus contacts the disc plate approximately 25.4 mm (1.0 inch) from the outer edge.
2. Rotate the disc plate one turn and take an indicator reading.

Runout: 0.08 mm (0.003 inch)
3. If runout is not within specification, repair or replace the disc plate.
