Oil Filter: Service and Repair
1. Place a drip pan under the oil filter.
2. Unscrew the oil filter from the oil filter adapter.
3. Use a clean rag to wipe off the mounting surface on the oil filter adapter.
4. Apply a small amount of clean engine oil to the O-ring of the new filter.
5. Install the oil filter and tighten it by hand until the O-ring contacts the oil filter adapter.
6. Tighten the oil filter 1/2 turn.
7. Start the engine and check for leaks.
8. Check the oil level and add oil if necessary.
Oil filter capacity: 0.9 liters (1.0 US qt.)
