Torque Converter: Testing and Inspection
Stator to Impeller Interference Check
1. Position the oil pump on the torque converter and engage the front oil pump splines to the torque converter one-way clutch inner race.
2. Hold the torque converter and try to rotate the oil pump both clockwise and counterclockwise.
3. Check for signs of interference or scraping. Replace if necessary.
