CAUTION:  Before assembly, make sure all parts are completely clean. 

Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly, referring to the following notes:

Center Bearing Support And Half-Round Yoke (13, 12)

1. Install the center bearing support.
2. Install the attaching nut to the coupling shaft yoke and tighten to 135 - 162 Nm (100 - 120 ft. lbs.).

NOTE:  Make sure the yoke is reinstalled in the same orientation as it was originally installed.

3. Install the spider assembly and straps to the half-round yoke and tighten the bolts to 18 - 25 Nm (13 - 18 ft. lbs.).

Coupling Shaft And Rear Yoke (15, 16)

Install the coupling shaft to the rear yoke. Tighten to 55 - 74 Nm (41 - 55 ft. lbs.).

Dust Boot, Slip Yoke (8, 9)

1. Install the dust boot making sure the boot is seated in the boot groove.

2. Install the small diameter side first, pushing the boot as far as it will travel on the stub shaft.

3. Install the small clamp by crimping with Clamp Pliers T63P-9171-A, or equivalent.
4. Fill the dust boot with approximately 10 grams (0.35 ounces) of grease.
5. Lubricate the slip splices with grease.

6. Push the slip yoke onto the stub shaft, making sure the blind splines are aligned.
