Fluid - Transfer Case: Testing and Inspection
NOTE: Park the vehicle on level ground.
1. Remove the filler plug.
2. Verify that the oil level is near the filler plug port. If it is low, add ATF Mercon or M-III.
3. Apply sealant to the threads of the filler plug. Install the filler plug and tighten to 19 - 30 Nm (14 - 22 ft. lbs.).
