Engine Mount: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION 

1. On 4WD vehicles, remove the front axle; refer to Front Axle.

2. Remove the four nuts.
3. Raise and support the engine with a floor crane and a three bar engine support.
4. Raise the vehicle; refer to General Information.

5. Remove the nut and remove the LH engine mount.

6. Remove the nut and remove the RH engine mount.
7. Install in reverse order of removal.

NEUTRALIZING PROCEDURE 

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Loosen, but do not remove, the engine and transmission mount fasteners.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Operate the vehicle in forward and reverse.
5. Raise and support the vehicle.
6. Tighten the engine and transmission mount fasteners.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Perform a road test.
