Flex Plate: Testing and Inspection

FLYWHEEL INSPECTION 

1. Inspect the flywheel for:

-

any cracks.

-

worn ring gear teeth.

-

chipped or cracked ring gear teeth.

2. Use radial runout gauge to inspect the flywheel ring gear runout.

-

Set the gauge on the flywheel ring gear surface and turn the flywheel to measure runout.
