Manual Control Lever Shaft Seal Removal/Installation
Removal Note
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
Note: It is not necessary to remove the transmission fluid filter to perform this procedure.
3. Remove the oil pan.
4. Remove the digital Transmission Range (TR) sensor.
Caution: Do not damage the valve inner lever pin.
5. Remove the manual valve inner lever nut.
6. Remove the manual valve inner lever and the parking lever actuating rod.
Caution: Do not damage the case fluid pan rail.
7. Remove the manual control lever shaft spring pin.
1) Tap lightly on each side of the manual control lever shaft spring pin with a drift punch.
2) Pry the spring pin out of its bore.
