III. DYNAMIC DAMPER
If the vibration is not reduced to an acceptable level, install the dynamic damper kit (except Cab Plus vehicles).
1.
Remove the carpet on the inside rear of the cab.
2.
From the interior of the cab, locate bracket "A" on the recess in the center of the cab as shown. Mark the location of the 13 holes.
3.
Remove the bolts that secure the bed to the frame (short bed- 6 bolts, long bed- 8 bolts).
4.
Disconnect the connectors to the taillights and license plate light.
5.
Disconnect the fuel filler hose.
6.
Slide the bed rearward approximately 4 inches.
7.
Drill the holes using a 6.5 mm (17/64 in) drill bit.
8.
Install bracket "A" to the interior of the cab.
