DESCRIPTION
The bolt that secures the hood hinge may not have been tightened or seated correctly on some B2200/B2600 vehicles. Incorrect tightening or seating of
the bolt may cause noise from the hood and difficulty with opening and closing of the hood.
REPAIR PROCEDURES
Inspect all of the affected units listed below as per the following inspection procedures. The inspection should be made at the earliest opportunity of the
regular service for the vehicles which have already been sold or at PDI for stocked vehicles. Also, properly seat and retighten the hinge bolt in
accordance with the repair procedure on the next page if necessary.

INSPECTION PROCEDURES
1.
Raise the hood about 20 in. (500 mm).
2.
Shake the hood lightly from side-to-side, and check for a knocking noise. (The hinge bolt on the right side is the only one that might be
affected.) If a loud knocking noise is heard, follow the next repair procedure.
NOTE:
When shaking the hood, you may hear a squeak or small rattle noise rather than the loud knocking. These noises are normal and do not
necessarily need to be fixed.
