DESCRIPTION
If you encounter a complaint of HLA noise which continues for approximately one (1) minute, the rocker arms may need replacing.
As illustrated, the diameter of the oil passage "A" of the modified rocker arm has been enlarged (0.031 in. to 0.078 in.). With this modification, oil
pressure to the HLA increases and the period of noise occurrence is shortened.

NOTE:
In accordance with the modification of the rocker arm, the part number of the rocker arm assembly (with HLA) has been changed also.
The revised section is indicated by an asterisk. Please replace the original bulletin with this revised bulletin.
NOTES FOR REPAIR
1.
The HLA itself is not faulty. Use the original HLA with a new rocker arm. When installing them, be careful not to damage the O-ring of the
HLA.
2.
When removed from the rocker arm shaft, if the contact area of the rocker arm appears scratched, mend the scratch or replace the rocker arm
shaft. Otherwise, due to the oil pressure, fluid leakage may result.
3.
Please instruct the customers to observe scheduled maintenance intervals, otherwise inadequate amounts of oil or oil deterioration may cause
the problem to reoccur.
